Employment fair concludes

Srinagar, Dec 26: Three days employment fair concluded at Baramulla and Shopian today. To inspire youth towards self employment schemes, 16 departments including Social Welfare, Fisheries, Horticulture, Agriculture, Industries, Handicrafts, KVIB and several financial institutions of Baramulla had installed their stalls in these fairs, an official statement said. Giving details it said about 4500 youth who visited the mela at Baramulla were educated about various schemes while 830 youths registered themselves under these schemes. Nearly 40 thousand educated youth have so far applied for voluntary service allowance in Employment and Counselling Centre Baramulla against whom 9256 were found eligible and out of them 500 youth who furnished their documents are being provided the allowance next week.
