Mainstream parties trying to confuse int’l community: JKLF (R)
K-ISSUE
Srinagar, Dec 28: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (R) chairman, Farooq Ahmad Dar alias Bitta Karatey on Tuesday accused the mainstream parties of vainly trying to deflect the attention of international community from Kashmir issue through their statements.
“The main objective of the issuance of their statements is to create confusion about the real facts of Kashmir,” said Karatey, while addressing party leaders here, adding “These parties have always been trying to launch a misinformation campaign against Kashmir issue and presenting the so-called roadmaps in an attempt to make the peoples’ sacrifices go waste to build their political mansions. Even BJP is trying to regain its lost power by issuing statements against Kashmir cause.”
Concerned over the continued detention of pro-freedom leaders and activists and ‘denial’ of basic facilities including medical aid to them in jails, Karatey said these “repressive steps would not deter people from continuing their freedom struggle.” Karatey appealed to the international rights organizations to take cognizance of the plight of Kashmiri detainees languishing in different jails and pressurize India to release them.
The meeting was also attended by senior vice-chairman, Javid Ahmad Mir, Tahir Ahmad Mir, Rasakh Khursheed Dar, Wajahat Qureshi and Shafa’at Shingloo.
