11 booked under PSA in Pulwama

Srinagar, Dec 2: Police have arrested 30 persons and booked 11 of them under PSA during its recent drive against narcotics and psychotropic substances in south Kashmir’s Awantipora area.
In a statement, police said that during its drive in Awantipora, poppy spread over 2300 Kanals of land and Bhang on 472 kanals of land was destroyed during the year.
“Besides 23 cases under Narcotic and Psychotropic substances act were registered in the local police station. During the drive large quantity of of charas and fuki were recovered. 32 persons were found involved in these cases in which 30 persons have been arrested. 11 PSA warrants have been received out of which 9 PSA warrants have been executed,” the police said.
