‘Ensure registration of coaching centres’

Jammu, Dec 29: Minister for Education, Peerzada Muhammad Sayeed on Wednesday directed the school Education department to ensure that all coaching centres get registered forthwith.
“It has been mandatory that all private coaching centres should be registered. The provision has been made under law to make it necessary for these coaching centres to notify the fee subject wise and depute well educated staff to impart the education,” Sayeed said.
He said the recently issued government order also binds these private coaching centres to strengthen their centres with adequate heating and cooling facilities as per the weather and keep proper education oriented infrastructure in the respective coaching centre and display the registration certificate indicating all facilities available for the general information of the people.
The Minister has also made it clear these coaching centres would not be allowed to run during day when government and private school remain functional.
He also said that so far a good number of coaching centre had approached the education department for registration for which committee of experts have been constituted who will register the unit after proper verification so that un authorized coaching centre are weeded out and exploitation of students in the name of education is ended.
