Govt failed to address peoples’ aspirations: PDP

Surankote, Dec 29: People’s Democratic Party today accused the National Conference led coalition government of failing to address economic and political aspirations of the people.
 Addressing public here former minister and party leader, Abdul Rehman Veeri said the present dispensation had ‘failed’ to carry forward the agenda of peace and development ‘pioneered and initiated’ by the previous government headed by Mufti Muhammad Sayeed.
 “You cannot suppress the political aspirations and democratic urges of the J&K people by oppression,” he said and cautioned that “repressive policies pursued by the government are bound to fuel alienation and public unrest.”
