Lalchowk without power for 2 days
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Dec 29: Srinagar’s commercial hub, Lal Chowk, is without power for last two days, the traders and hoteliers complained today.
They angry traders/hoteliers said the transformer in the area had developed some snag and the authorities had not been able to restore the power supply to the busiest market in the Valley.
“This is pathetic. If this is the case with a place known as the business hub of Kashmir, one can only imagine plight rest of the Valley should be facing,” said Siraj Ahmad, hotelier.
The traders said the complete 2-day blackout in the market speaks volumes about the performance of the PDD. “If there is a snag in the transformer, can’t the department arrange an alternative transfer so that the traders don’t suffer losses,” they said.
Interestingly, the entire area is fully metered.
