Matric result next week

Srinagar, Dec 29: The results of recently held secondary and higher secondary examinations will be announced in the first week of next year, officials said here.
Secretary state board of school Education, Dr Sheikh Bashir told Press Bureau of India that the results of Matric (regular) and higher secondary school examinations (Part I and II) and DEE will be announced next week.
He said the board authorities had tried their best to come up with the results by the end of this year. However, due to weather conditions, it was delayed. “If all goes well, by January 5 the results will be out,” he said.
Around 34,999 candidates had appeared in Part II (private) examination at 214 examination centres, while 52,126 candidates had appeared as regular in 514 centres.
56,081 candidates had appeared as regular in the metric examinations at over 607 examination centres; while 84,504 students had appeared in private examinations at 652 centres.
 Approximately, 55,000 students had appeared in Term I and Term II examinations of higher secondary school (Part I) at 329 centres. 297 candidates had appeared at 5 centres for the DEE examinations.(PBI)
