Students hold protest against government circular on coaching centers
Srinagar, Dec 30: Scores of students on Thursday staged anti-government demonstration in Lal Chowk here against the circular asking the owners of coaching centers to get their institutes registered.
Chanting anti-government slogans, the students were protesting against the circular issued by the Minister for Education, Peerzada Muhammad Sayeed making the registration of tuition centres mandatory. The students were also protesting against the ban on the day time classes at the coaching centres.
“This is injustice with the students. The government should not resort to dictatorship by issuing unwarranted regulations on the tuition centres,” Shazia, a protester said. “Ultimately the students will be at the losing end,” she added.(PBI)
