HDFC Bank in expansion mood

Srinagar, Dec 2: The HDFC Bank, one of India’s premier banks, today inaugurated an Automatic Teller Machine (ATM), fourth in this week, at Hazratbal, here taking its total teller network in the Valley to 18 and 25 in J&K.
The ATM near Sir Syed Gate of University of Kashmir at Hazratbal, was inaugurated jointly by Ms Naina Panse, Vice President & Head HR, HDFC Bank, and Shabir Ahmad, Director, Business School, University of Kashmir.  
Zubair Iqbal, Deputy Vice President & State Head &   Ishlesh Bhaskar, Assistant Vice President & Regional Head, HR, were present on the occasion. Besides, a good gathering of eminent people of the locality and academics of the varsity were present on the occasion.  
On the occasion Shabir Ahmed hailed the Bank for “bringing world class products and services to the valley.”
He complemented the Bank for making big strides in Kashmir and “emerging as one of the top employers for its alumni.”
To mention, the Bank has already tied up with The Business School, University of Kashmir, and initiated a Joint Certification Program to train and equip its students with skills essential for the Banking sector.
“The initiative is helping our students to gain first hand experience about working in the banks and present day demands. This will also sharpen their skills so as to come up to the expectations of the industry,” Shabir Ahmad said.
Ms Panse said: “We are extremely pleased to announce the launch of our new ATM at such a strategic and sacred place in Srinagar. Hazratbal is of great historic and religious significance. We look forward to providing our customers with the latest products and world class services and the utmost in advanced technology.”
“For our customer convenience we will be adding six news ATMs in next 10 days in the valley,”  she said.
Zubair Iqbal said: “With the introduction of “Faster ATMs” an HDFC Bank customer can, at any time of the day, now do cash withdrawal at any HDFC Bank ATM in 40 per cent less time.”
“The customers can also do other transactions on the ATM like credit card payment, cheque status enquiry, and transfer funds between accounts, viewing account balances and mini statements.”
