This refers to the news 'JK to import dredgers for Jhelum restoration'. The water bodies of Kashmir are famous the world over. Wular Lake is the largest fresh water lake in Asia. The water bodies like Dal Lake and Manasbal are a source of attraction for the tourists
who visit Kashmir from different parts of the world. But for the past few decades, these water bodies are in a shambles, due to use of non-biodegradable pollutants. Various projects of Irrigation and Flood control department have failed to ensure sustainable development of these fresh water bodies. That is because of the financial crunch or mismanagement. The department must arrange useful equipments to restore the glory of these places
