ZAID’S 151 HELP JK DRAW AGAINST DELHI
U-14 NORTH ZONE CRICKET TOURNAMENT

Srinagar, Dec 4: The brilliant knock by Zaid Muhammad helped JK to draw their match of North Zone Under-14 Inter State two-day cricket tournament against hosts Delhi in the country’s capital on Friday.
It was lone valiant knock by Zaid that was almost half of the total scored by JK team in response to Delhi inning of 373.
In the match on the first day, Hosts Delhi batting first scored 373 runs for the loss of nine wickets.
For JK Karan Singh took 4 wickets while Fayaz took 2.
In response, JK needed someone to score heavily and make safe journey for the team. Skipper Zaid like previous matches rose to the occasion leading from the front as he scored mesmerising 151 runs.
At the end of second day’s play JK had scored 344 runs for the loss of six wickets in response to that of Delhi score of 373.
Zaid who is leading the JK side in the event had earlier played another brilliant knock of 84 runs which had helped JK to put up a respectable total.
The event is being organised by Board of Control for Cricket in India and JK is playing under the banner of J&K Cricket Association.
