4 killed, 5 hurt in road mishaps

Ganderbal/Srinagar, Dec 5: Four persons were killed and five others injured in road accidents across the Valley.
Two persons were killed and two injured when a tipper (JK02-6781) they were travelling in skidded off the road and turned turtle at Malshahibagh Ganderbal on the Srinagar-Leh Road on Sunday.
According to police, the deceased have been identified as Javaid Ahmad Laharwal son of Ghulam Qadir Laharwal of Kondbal Manasbal and Khurshid Ahmad Parrey son of Ghulam Muhammad Parrey of Sumbal Bandipora. The wounded Zahoor Ahmad Laharwal and Shabir Ahmad Laharwal have been hospitalized, police added.
Meanwhile, a vehicle (JK01-8720) met with an accident at Baba Reshi, Gulmarg injuring three persons Irshad Ahmad Sheikh son of Abdul Gani of Khawaja Bagh, Nissar Ahmad Sheikh son of Ghulam Nabi Sheikh of Khawaja Bagh, Baramulla and Kadeer Ahmad Khan son Nazir Ahmad of Bagaw Sopore, police said adding the wounded were shifted to SDH Tangmarg where Irshad Ahmad Sheikh succumbed to his injuries. Police has registered a case.
In another incident, a tipper (JK04-5738) hit a motorcycle (JK13-8509) at Uran Kakapora, Pulwama killing the rider Bilal Ahmad Ganaie son of Muhammad Akbar Ganaie of Wusan Pattan on the spot and wounding the pillion rider Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir son of Khazir Muhammad of Wusan Pattan, police said adding the wounded had been hospitalized and a case registered.
