Don't interfere, Omar says to Army

This refers to the clash of statements between Army and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah over the Qamarwari shootout. Omar Abdullah is right when he says that Army should not interfere in the political issues, which can be easily dealt by New Delhi. The revocation of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act is up to the Central government and the state government. Army must do as directed. They must listen to the directives from the Home Ministry. The statements against Omar Abdullah in public reveal that Army wants to jump into the administrative affairs, which don't come under their realm of authority. Omar must take up the matter with New Delhi and ensure that in future, no such interference is seen. Such things are intolerable and indicate as if Army is running a parallel government in Jammu and Kashmir
