IITM honours JK as ‘best eco-friendly tourism state’

Srinagar, Dec 5: In what could give a major boost to its tourism industry, the J&K has been honoured as the ‘Best eco-friendly tourism state’ at the Indian International Travel Mart (IITM) Hyderabad.
 Tourism traders from the Valley participating in the IITM Hyderabad told Greater Kashmir on phone that J&K was honoured as the ‘Best eco-friendly tourism state’ at the IITM Hyderabad.
 The  award on behalf of J&K Tourism was received by Javed Amin, Deputy Director Tourism, West & South India.
 The award to J&K was given at a glittering ceremony where entire travel trade consisting various national and international tourism bodies, state tourism departments, inbound and outbound tour operators were present.
 The function was held at the TAJ Banjara Hotel.
 The State Tourism was represented by various tour operators/ members of J&K Tourism Alliance, TASK, TAAI - JK Chapter & ADTOI - J&K Chapter.
 IITM is India's premier Exhibition that showcases travel, tourism, hospitality, leisure and other related industries. It is aimed at bringing the Industry, face-to-face with the travel trade, Corporate Buyer and the end-customer with the requisite purchasing power. All this in a comfortable and festive ambience that will help forge a mutually beneficial business relationship.
  ‘India International Travel Mart’, India’s premier travel and tourism Exhibition brand was established in 1998 by ‘Travel Media Networks’. It is held at the country’s major markets of Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad.
