6 booked under PSA in Pulwama

Islamabad (Anantnag)/Pulwama, Dec 5: Partial shutdown amid clashes broke out in Islamabad town while as authorities booked six youth under Public Safety Act (PSA) in south Kashmir’s Pulwama and Shopian area.
Scores of youth took to streets on Sunday morning raising pro-freedom slogans were demanding release of arrested youth.
The protesters forced the shopkeepers to down their shutters of shops and police fired teargas canisters and baton-charged the protesters forcing them to disperse.
However, the clashes continued throughout the day in areas of KP road, Lazibal, Reshi Bazar and Dangerpora in town.
Six youth from Pulwama and Shopian were booked under PSA and send to Kathua Central Jail Jammu on Saturday morning.
The authorities said the accused were involved in many cases involving disruption of law and order.
The detained have been identified as Tauseef Ahmad, a resident of Tengpuna, Imtiyaz Qadir a resident of Naman, Sajid Wani a resident Kakapora, Ghulam Mohiudin Dar a resident of Samboora besides Yasir Mukhtar of Aliyalpora and Touseef Ahmad Bhat of Baba Mohalla in Shopian.
