MDS distributes relief
Srinagar, Dec 6: Medical Development Society, a Srinagar based non- governmental organization has distributed blankets and clothes at Hazrtabal among “needy people with an aim to help them.”
The camp was inaugurated by the local MLA, Dr Mustafa Kamal. “The blankets and clothes were distributed around 1000 people including old aged men, women, young boys and girls,” the NGO said.
Khazana Aziz, chairperson of the organisation said: “I made myself ready since my childhood to help poor and needy people of the Kashmir valley in rural and urban areas and as such today’s medical camp here is a part of the activities of our organization.”
She said: “In 2005 when massive earthquake rattled the Kashmir valley, our organization which is totally a non-profitable, helped maximum people in Uri and other adjacent areas by providing food, clothes, blankets, medicine etc, and I personally stayed so many days there to personally monitor all the activities.
