+2 Lecturers’ Forum defers election for district Sgr

Srinagar: J&K Plus Two Lecturers’ Forum, president Muhammad Usman has deferred the election for district Srinagar on account of, what he said, unavoidable circumstances.
 “The election for Srinagar which was scheduled on December 11 will now be held on December 16, at the auditorium of S P Higher Secondary School, M A Road,” Usman said in a statement.
 The statement reads: “Before the scheduled date, election for basic units in each institution shall be held under the supervision of concerned principals in the ratio of 1:10 to be calculated on the basis of sanctioned posts. No representative should be from recently elevated senior lecturers as principals as basic member. Also central executive members if elevated as principals in districts Baramulla, Kupwara and Bandipora shall be replaced by new incumbents.”
 “In view of above, election to central body also stands deferred and the new date will be notified separately after convening the meeting of nominated observers and district presidents which has been scheduled on December 21 at SIE Srinagar at 1 PM,” read the statement.
