Dr Farooq, Omar greet Muslims
New Islamic Calendar
Srinagar: National Conference president and Union Minster for New and Renewable Energy, Dr Farooq Abdullah has felicitated the Ummah in general and Muslims of the country in particular on beginning of the new Islamic Calendar.
Dr Farooq wished that this year brings peace and prosperity for the whole world.
Meanwhile, chief minister, Omar Abdullah and other NC leaders including advocate Sheikh Nazir Ahmad, Abdul Rahim Rather, Mian Altaf, Ali Muhammad Dar and Irfan Ahmad Shah have also greeted the Muslims on the beginning of new Islamic Calendar.
Meanwhile, the Jamiat-i-Hamdaniya patron, Mirwaiz Moulvi Riyaz Ahmad Hamdani has also greeted the Muslims on the occasion.
