Dr Muzaffar nominated member NDMA
New Delhi: The Government of India has nominated Dr Muzaffar Ahmad, former Director, Health Services, J&K as a member of National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA),
According to an official statement, M Shashidhar Reddy, presently NDMA member has been nominated as its Vice-Chairman.
The Prime Minister is the Chairman of NDMA.
Reddy, a three-time member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, has been a member of the NDMA in September 2005.
He has a master’s degree in Agronomy from the Kansas State University in the United States. He was a merit scholar of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) after graduating from the Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University, Hyderabad in 1971. He has served as the Minister for Environment, Science and Technology in the Andhra Pradesh Government.
