Violence, state-terrorism biggest challenges: Geelani
Srinagar, Dec 8: The chairman of Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Shah Geelani on Wednesday said the biggest challenges the world faced today were the violence and state terrorism.
“The most urgent tasks before the whole world today are the end of violence and the establishment of peace. The world will only be a worth living place when the objective of establishment of peace is achieved,” Geelani said, according to Hurriyat statement. “The violence being done in name of Islam has no far off relation with the religion. Not only Pakistan, wherever blood of innocents is being spilled, it is terrorism whether perpetrators would call themselves Mujahideens or with some other beautiful name,” he said.
Geelani said, “The state terrorism, which imperialistic forces are using for their territorial aggrandizement, was responsible for the anarchy in the world.” “This kind of state terrorism is ugly and dreadful and people in Palestine and Kashmir are victims of this terror,” he said.
