JKLF calls for strike on Feb 11

Srinagar, Feb 9: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Tuesday said February 11, the martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Maqbool Bhat, was an inseparable part of the ongoing freedom struggle. Calling for a protest strike on the day, the party announced to organise functions in various district of the Valley besides taking out rallies and processions.
 In a meeting held at JKLF headquarters at Maisuma here chaired by Muhammad Yaseen Malik, the front members paid rich tributes to Bhat.
 The JKLF members condemned the recent killings of teenagers by police and paramilitary troopers and paid rich tributes to them.
 Meanwhile, the book on Maqbool Bhat’s life, which was to be released at a function today, would now be released on February 14 at Hotel Grand Mumtaz at 1 pm, a party statement said.
