JKLF (R) demands handing over of mortal remains

Srinagar, Feb 9: Paying rich tributes to Muhammad Maqbool Bhat on his 26th martyrdom anniversary, the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (R) chairman Farooq Ahmad Dar alias Bita Karate and senior vice-chairman, Javid Ahmad Mir have appealed the people to observe complete shutdown on February 11.
“On February 11, Front will hold demonstrations in Valley and other parts of world to demand that the mortal remains of Shaheed Bhat be handed over to his family. Flower tributes will be offered to the martyrs at Martyrs’ Graveyard, Eid Gah. The party will also organize a condolence meeting,” said the leaders, according to Front statement.
Meanwhile, they have paid glowing tributes to Wamiq Farooq and Zahid Farooq on their Rasm-e-Chaharum.
HASHIM PAYS TRIBUTES
Paying rich tributes to Maqbool Bhat, the Democratic Liberation Party chairman, Hashim Qureshi urged the people to observe shutdown and hold peaceful demonstrations on Thursday.
Addressing party workers, Hashim demanded that the government of India should return the mortal remains of Bhat to his family.
Condemning the killing of Wamiq Farooq and Zahid Farooq, he termed it government’s frustration. He said, “The chief minister is seeking help from centre to track down Zahid’s killers. We ask him as to what he is doing as chief minister. Why cannot the administration arrest the killers?”
TEM FOR BLACK DAY ON FEB 11
The Tehreek-e-Muzahamat general secretary, Muhammad Salim Zargar has paid glowing tributes to Shaheed Muhammad Maqbool Bhat on his martyrdom anniversary on February 11.
Zargar, in a statement, appealed the people to observe the Day as black day. He reiterated the pledge to take the mission of martyrs to its logical end.
JKIM PAYS TRIBUTES
The Jammu and Kashmir Ittihadul Muslimeen president and senior leader Hurriyat (M), Maulana Abbas Ansari has paid glowing tributes to Muhammad Maqbool Bhat.
In a statement he said due to the sacrifices of these martyrs, Kashmir dispute was being debated across the globe. “It is time to pledge to continue the ongoing struggle.”
