Pro-freedom camp should lead struggle: NF
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar: The National Front on Tuesday urged the pro-freedom camp to spearhead the ongoing freedom struggle in Kashmir.
The party, in a statement issued here, said the atrocities committed on Kashmiris across the Valley and the restrictions imposed demand that the pro-freedom camp should reach out to the people and lead the agitation. “The whole society has been taken hostage. It is time for pro-freedom parties to spearhead the agitation,” it said.
Front said the authorities were not allowing the pro-freedom camp to raise voice against detention of its leaders. “It is time to make people aware that the probes ordered by the government in human rights violations are mere eye-wash. The twin rape and murder case of Shopian and killing of a civilian in Pulwama are its best examples,” it said.
Meanwhile, Front has paid rich tributes to the Shaheed Muhammad Maqbool Bhat on his upcoming martyrdom anniversary. It has advised the pro-freedom leaders to give up the laid-back approach and pledge to follow the footsteps of martyrs.
A Front delegation went to the Zahid's residence and expressed solidarity with the family, it said.
