Vohra for collaborative research among JK varsities

Jammu: The Governor, N N Vohra today called for collaborative research projects by all the Universities of J&K for optimal utilization of resources, with the objective of achieving economic development of the state.
Addressing the valedictory session of the 5th JK Science Congress at the Jammu University here, he underscored the need to focus on the application of research findings to boost agriculture, forestry, fish farming, floriculture, horticulture, vegetable cultivation, animal and sheep husbandry, water supply, healthcare and other sectors.
Referring to the Science Congress, he stressed the need to encourage participation of scholars and researchers from far flung areas.
Vohra presented awards to the Young Scientists for their paper presentations. V-C, JU, Prof. Varun Sahni and the V-C, KU, Prof. Riyaz Punjabi also spoke on the occasion.
