‘Verify before engaging domestic help’

Jammu, Feb 12: Jammu & Kashmir Police has advised people to get the antecedents of their domestic helps, servants, helpers verified before their engagement on job.
A Police spokesman today appealed people to inform their nearest Police Station about such engagements with full details about domicile alongwith photographs.
The spokesman said this measure has become necessary in the larger interests and security of the people at large. He said this step was taken in view of the incidents of servants and domestic helps having been found involved in various crimes that took place in various parts of the state recently.
The spokesman advised people to contact nearest Police Stations or Police Helpline for any queries in this regard.
