Bad name

Latest addition to Padma Shri has been a renegade Muma Kanna. By this selection Government of India has sent a clear message to all of us that they will decorate all such people who help them in holding on to Kashmir irrespective of their behavior towards Kashmiri society. By bestowing a Padma Shree on a person   who is a renegade, India has damaged its cause in Kashmir. It has honored a murderer who takes pride in having killed hundreds of people and used terror as a weapon to coerce the people. He boasts of being a true Hindustani and a law abiding citizen. By this admission one understands how weak the hold of Union of India on Kashmir was once that they had to knock at the door of this illiterate a person.

This news has not only damaged the peace overtures towards Hurriyat by Home Minister but has exposed tall claims of politicians and bureaucrats alike.   Muma Kanna might have done a lot for India but in the end by his aspirations for a Medal he has damaged them more and exposed some of their moles.
