11 hurt in Mendhar bus accident

Jammu: At least eleven passengers were injured, three of them critically, when an overcrowded bus skidded off the road at Mendhar in Poonch district, police said.
 A local passenger vehicle with registration number JK02M8623 -- was on its way from Uchhad to Mendhar when it met with an accident at about 1115 hrs.
 All passengers, including the injured, were evacuated from the vehicle, which, the sources said, was carrying more passengers than its authorised capacity.
 The injured were shifted to a nearby civil hospital for treatment, police said.
