PDP to protest essentials scarcity

Srinagar, Feb 14: The Peoples Democratic Party is holding demonstrations on February 18 and 22 against the government’s alleged failure in stopping the rights abuses and providing amenities to the people.
In a statement, its spokesman said the demonstrations would be also held in the districts across the state on February 18 and in Srinagar and Jammu simultaneously on February 22.
He said the protestors would highlight the deteriorating human rights situation and scarcity of ration, gas, kerosene oil, power, water and other amenities.
He said the demonstrations would be led by senior party leaders, he added.
