Chib visits Hazratbal, assesses facilities

Srinagar, Feb 17: The Minister for Medical Education, R S Chib today visited Aasar-i-Sharief Hazratbal and took stock of medical facilities being made available for devotees at a camp set up by the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, GMC here.
Earlier, Chib paid obeisance at the Dargah and prayed for peace and prosperity of the state.
He inspected Primary Health Centre, Hazratbal, and went round various units of X-ray, ECG, Microscopy, Tuberculosis centre, Bio- chemistry and different In- patient wards.
HOD, SPM, Dr. Muneer Masoodi informed the Minister that the centre provides round the clock services during Urs day besides catering to the needs of 20,000 people of the area.
Chib expressed satisfaction over the functioning of the PHC, and directed the administration to redouble their efforts in meeting the healthcare needs of the people of the area as well as the devotees, thronging the shrine during Urs.
