Court convicts Kashmiri

New Delhi, Feb 17: A trial court has convicted a Kashmiri, Muhammad Amin of possessing explosives, hawala money and waging war against the country.
Additional Session Judge, Nivedita Anil charged Amin under various provision of the Indian Penal Code including those relating to Explosive Substance Act.
Amin and co-accused Latifur Rehman of Bangladesh, who belonged to the HuJI were accused of having links with the Lashkar-e-Toiba chief, Hafiz Saeed.
The court will pronounce their verdict tomorrow. Amin was arrested in 2007 in the capital carrying Rs 4.5 lakh, which he received from hawala operative at Seshganj Gurdwara, while Rehman was arrested next day on the disclosure of Amin.
