‘No funds where demonstrations are held’

PDP accuses CM

GK NEWS NETWORK

Srinagar, Feb 18: The Peoples Democratic Party today accused Chief Minister Omar Abdullah of threatening to starve the districts of funds where demonstrations against his government were held.
According to senior PDP leader and MLA Pulwama, Muhammad Khalil Bandh, the CM said this at the District Development Board meeting of Pulwama where a demonstration had been organized by the PDP against the killing of innocent youth.
“I would not release a single penny to your district,” a PDP statement quoted CM as saying. Incidentally, Pulwama district had elected all PDP candidates in the last Assembly elections.
PDP legislators Muhammad Khalil Bandh, Zahoor Ahmed Mir, Syed Bashir Ahmed and Mushtaq Ahmed Shah walked out of the meeting telling the Chief Minister that they would in no case forego their right to project problems facing the people.
