Govt sanctions 538 posts

Jammu, Feb 18: Jammu and Kashmir government today sanctioned around 538 posts in various departments for the newly created districts in the state.
As per an order issued by General Administration Department, sanction has been accorded to the creation of posts in the departments of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD), Labour and Employment, Transport (Motor Vehicle) and Power Development Department.
The government has also created one post of assistant Director, chief inspector, head assistant, senior assistant, accounts assistant, driver and peon for each district in CAPD.
Similarly, one post of assistant controller, inspector, manual assistant grade – I, manual assistant grade-II, accounts assistant, driver and peon for each district has been created in Legal Metrology Department. In Labour and Employment department one post of assistant director, statistical officer (Planning), junior employment officer, head assistant, junior scale stenographer, accounts assistant, junior assistant (Computer Operator) driver and peon for each district have been created for the entire newly created district.
Similarly several posts have been created in Labour Department. Transport/Motor Vehicle Department and Power Development Department.
Official sources told Greater Kashmir that the posts would be referred to the recruiting agencies for initiation of the recruitment process.
