Troops committing atrocities: Hurriyat (G)

Srinagar, Feb 17: The Hurriyat Conference (G) delegation Thursday visited Rahimpora and Redwani areas of Kulgam in south Kashmir where two militants were killed in an encounter with troops recently.
In a statement, Hurriyat media incharge Advocate Zahid Ali said, “People of these areas told Hurriyat delegation about the atrocities committed by the troops and police.”
“This is state terrorism. Such tactics won’t deter the valour of Kashmiris to pursue freedom,” he said.
Meanwhile, another delegation led by Molvi Bashir Ahmad and Muhammad Sadiq visited Mirangund Varmul in north Kashmir to condole the families of two slain militants who were killed in an encounter with troops recently.
Meanwhile, Jamaat-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir delegation led by Peer Gayas-ud-Din also visited Mirangund Varmul to pay homage to the slain militants.
