Unnecessary criticism
This refers to Shahid Iqbal Tak’s “Counterpoint” (GK, 10 Feb, 2010). Dr Tak has unnecessarily criticised Ghulam Nabi Khayal. He seems to have failed to catch the essence of GN Khayal’s article. According to Tak, Khayal has interpreted some Kashmiri Sufi poets in an obscene manner. First of all, he must know the difference between interpretation and translation. We can not derive mysticism from some verses. Also, he refers to Ahad Zargar, whose name has not been mentioned anywhere in Mr Khayal’s articles on human love. Tak has misunderstood a couplet of Ahad Zargar and interpreted it in his own way.
