Tumbakhnaari here: Kashmir echoes in America

I fully endorse the views expressed in the article titled “Tethered to roots”. It is true that Kashmiris try to maintain their separate ethnicity wherever they go and very rarely do what Romans do. On Eid day here in Buffalo all the Kashmiris putting up here were invited by a leading doctor over dinner and I happened to be one of them. It was great treat and surprise to me when Tumbakhnari resonated the otherwise serene atmosphere around after dinner and all our ladies joined the joyful atmosphere. Doctors (male) on the other side were formulating a plan to help their brothers in distress in the valley.  Kashmiris are culturally very vibrant and do have a very sympathetic heart for the Valleyites.
