JK Bank opens 2nd ATM at Chandanwari

Srinagar, Feb 25: The total number of J&K Bank ATMs in the state reached 286 when the bank inaugurated one more ATM at Chandanwari, Uri today.
District Development Commissioner, Varmul, Bashir Ahmad Bhat was the chief guest at the inaugural function, the bank in a statement said.
Bashir Ahmad lauded the efforts of J&K Bank and said that the Bank has come a long way serving people wholeheartedly.
Urging people to make judicious use of bank’s schemes to ensure that benefits of these schemes, he said, “The installation of ATM at this remotest part of valley speaks itself for commitment of the bank towards its people.”
Speaking on the occasion, Vice President (Kashmir Zone, North) J&K Bank Ab. Hamid Banday said, “It is our endeavor to get the technological services of this zone at par with other parts of the country”.
In the first instance, he said, twenty five business units of North Zone have been put on Core Banking Solution (CBS) during last few months facilitating customers with high-tech Services like RTGS/ NEFT/ e-banking that is bound to benefit people of the area a lot. He promised more on this front soon.
Citing the recently introduced credit scheme “Aan Poshi Teli Yeli Wan Poshi “for lower income strata of society, Banday said that it indicates that Bank is alive to the expectations of general public besides other vital eco-concerns.
Banday impressed upon people to make greater use of ATM cards for hassle free services. He urged them to make full use of different credit schemes of the bank in order to bolster their economy.
This is a 2nd automated machine of the Bank in Uri area besides 18th in the district Varmul.
