Relief for migrants to be increased

New Delhi, Feb 2: Home Minister P Chidambaram has assured increase in financial assistance to Kashmiri migrants. This assurance was given to Congress General Secretary Ashok Bhan,who briefed him on the latest political developments in the state as well as the functioning of the coalition Government.
The minister said a proposal to increase the monthly financial relief to the migrants has been sent to the Finance ministry and it is expected to be accepted soon. He also said the Government may relax age bar for employment for the migrant candidates. Bhan expressed concern over the increase in violence in the State. Chidambaram said that the security apparatus has been geared up to check militant activities in the state.
