JK Bank donates computers

Srinagar, Feb 3: Showing commitment to corporate social responsibility, the J&K Bank donated seven computers to a local school in Islamabad at a simple but impressive function yesterday.
Presided over by B A Khan, Additional Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, the function was attended by Bank’s Zonal Head for South Kashmir B.A. Lone, Cluster Head G.M. Rather, Imtiyaz Hussaini, branch head T P Islamabad, senior citizens of the town, traders and businessmen and staff and students of Islamia Hanfia Institute, the bank in a statement said.
Notably, Islamia Hanfia Institute provides education to the students from poor economic background at nominal fee and in some cases free of cost.
Speaking on the occasion B A Khan lauded the role of the Bank as a conscious corporate citizen.
“J&K Bank has added a new dimension to the concept of CSR. From developing parks and nurturing entrepreneurship to donating computers, providing scholarships and taking heritage preservation initiatives, J&K Bank has made a mark in the socio-psychological fabric of the state of Jammu and Kashmir”, Khan emphasized.
Zonal Head B A Lone in his address reiterated the Bank’s commitment to contribute in whatever way it can in uplift of downtrodden & economically weaker sections.
