Saroori releases “Wirasat”

Jammu, Feb 7: The Minister for R&B, G M Saroori today released “Wirasat” at a function, organized jointly by J&K Urdu Forum and Jammu and Makesh Kashmiri Literary Society.
 The book, written by Alhaj Muhammad Shafi Sheikh, is a compendium of historical and ethnic references of the state, particularly pertaining to Bhaderwah and erstwhile district Doda.
 Speaking on the occasion, he said the erstwhile Doda had created number of personalities like Dr. Margoob Banhali, Wafa Bhaderwahi,  Kamgar Kishtwari, Rasa Javedani, Shokat Faridi, Nishat Kishtwari, Ghulam Nabi Dolwal and Asseer Kishtwari. Appreciating the efforts of Shafi he said that such literary works  become masterpieces of the references for scholars and students.
