‘Illegal’ construction at Wazir Bagh

Srinagar, Jan 10: At a time when the government claims to have gone strict against “illegal” constructions, the residents of Wazirbagh have complained that in violation of the norms, a “blue eyed” family has started work on construction of third floor of a commercial complex on the main road there.
 A delegation of the residents said the family had walled the second floor with GI roofing sheets only to construct the third floor within a week.
 The residents appealed the authorities to look into the matter.
 When contacted an SMC official said the accused has already been directed to stop the work.
