Intoxicating minds

This refers to the article titled ‘Ind-Toxicating History” by Dr Sheikh Showkat Hussain. (GK January 6, 2010.) The author has brilliantly summed up the distortions in the history of Kashmir in different Indian publications. That is making the best use of the “Right to Freedom of Speech and Expression.” The author has effectively put in some points as examples of Ind-toxication like the inclusion of Indira Gandhi in the list of Kashmiri politicians. He is right in saying that the distortions are deliberate attempts to intoxicate new generations of Kashmir with version of history which suits status
quo of the so-called Indian ‘secular’ and ‘democratic’ set up. The author deserves applause for coming up with the article.
