Jet Airways bus catches fire

Leh, Jan 10: A Jet Airways bus caught fire at the Kushok Bakula Renpochay airport here this morning. The incident took place at 7 a.m.
The vehicle used for ferrying passengers at the airport suffered extensive damage due to short circuit.
Luckily, there was no casualty nor was anyone injured. An FIR has been lodged with the Police Post at Housing Colony here.
Talking to Greater Kashmir, the Airways manager, P Wamgayal, said the mishap had taken place due to short circuit. Soon after the incident, the Airways made alternative arrangements for the passengers, he said.
Meanwhile, the district reeling under a cold wave recorded a temperature of minus 25.6 degrees Celsius. Every vehicle, heavy or light, needs to keep its fuel tanks warm.
