Poetry blossoms
This refers to the review by Jasif Nazir (GK Plus) about the English anthology of poems titled BLOSSOMS II, an in-house publication of Academic Division of BOSE. The anthology is quite rich in content and well compiled. It’s updated and can be of a great help to literature loving students. There is a good combination of tradition and modernity. Moreover the editorial team has done well to get poets of the East and West together. It’s heartening to read contemporary poets like Mehmud Darwish, Aga Shahid Ali and old and forgotten poets like Lal Ded and Sheikhul Alam, Mirza Ghalib and Kalidas. The translations of Lal Ded and Sheikhul Alam and K S Madukar by renowned intellectuals like Prof. Neerja Mattoo, Prof. G R Malik and Shiv Nath respectively are profound and refreshing. We hope BOSE comes out with such enriching anthologies in future too.
