Man killed, 9 hurt in mishap

Varmul, Jan 10: One person died and nine others injured when a bus (JK05-4739) and a matador (JK05-6571) collided during overtaking at Chaukla here on Sunday. The deceased been identified as Muddasir Ahmad of Binner. The buses were on way to Binner from Varmul.
Leopard mauls girl
Srinagar: A seven-year-old girl was mauled to death by a leopard in Budgam district, police said today. Bisma Sheikh was playing outside her house at village Pathi-Poshker in Khag, 40 kms from here, when the leopard attacked her last evening. The locals tried to rescue the girl, but the leopard dragged her into the nearby forest and later her mutilated body was recovered, they said.
