EJAC factions display unity, support JCC call

Jammu, Jan 15: The All Jammu and Kashmir Government Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) Friday alleged that the state government was intentionally compelling the employees for choosing agitation path as it was backtracking from agreement reached with the employees.
Displaying unity among the various factions the employees unions, the leaders of Employees Joint Action Committee including Khursheed Alam, Abdul Qayoom Wani and GL Chanda addressed a joint press conference, here today, and reiterated their stand to fight for the just and genuine cause of the employees.
The leaders said that the a commitment was made with the Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) last year with regard to just and genuine demands of the employees but now adopting delay tactic the government was trying to backtrack from its earlier stand.
The leaders of both the factions announced that the government employees and workers of public sector undertakings would observe two days ‘Kaam Chod Hartal’ on January 21, 22 in all the three regions.
