Sagar tours Shahr-e-Khaas

Srinagar, Jan 16: The Minister for Rural development and Panchayats, Ali Muhammad Sagar on Saturday visited several areas of Shar-eKhaas including Kalashpora, Khanqah-e-Moula, Nowhatta and took stock of various developmental projects and sewerage facilities of these areas.
While inspecting the construction work on Dargah at Dawarakie Kocha, for which Sagar has provided Rs 6 lakh out of his CDF, instructed to speed up the work on it.
Inspecting the ongoing works on two storey community hall being constructed at a cost of Rs 1.20 crore, the Minister was informed that the hall would be dedicated to the people in the first week of March.
The said hall was constructed by the R&B department in the record period of one month.
Taking serious note of the defunct sewerage system and pump station of Suhampora, Nowhatta not installed yet, Sagar instructed the City Mechanical Division, Engineers to complete the work within a stipulated time period.
He also issued orders for construction of park on the state land, adding that funds for the purpose would be arranged.
He also took stock of the construction work of “Babul Sultan” at Makhdoom Sahib Shrine and gave instructions to Municipal Commissioner that the gate should be of attractive architecture. Sagar has provided Rs. 15 lakh out of CDF for the construction of this gate.
