I stand by my report in which emphasis was on the non-availability of qualified vets to take care of the sheep. The claim that Para vets are working under close supervision of qualified vets is something desirable and a requirement under J&K Veterinary Council Act-2000 but in practice this is not the case. About the departmental response to the outbreak claimed in the letter, less said the better’!
