No mid session transfers in edu deptt: Govt

Udhampur, Jan 17: The government today said no transfers would be made in the education department in the mid academics session.
“The transfers will be initiated during the beginning and end of the session,” the Minister for School Education, Peerzada Muhammad Sayed said while reviewing the status of works under Sarv Shaksha Abhiyan and other issues during a meeting on Sunday. He also asked the officers not to recommend the premature cases for transfer adding a policy was devised to streamline the transfers to the Department.
He added no transfer of Rehbar-e-Taleem would be done ever after the confirmation as regular teacher.
Sayed asked the officers to work with proper co-ordination with the Engineering Wing of SSA to ensure timely completion of construction works in the department.
He reiterated government’s commitment to streamline the education sector and said no up gradation and opening of new schools, engagement of RETs would be carried out unless proper formalities were fulfilled.
Expressing displeasure over the slow construction of Primary and Middle Schools, additional classrooms, Block Resource Centres and Cluster Resource Centres, he asked the Chief Education Officers to direct the SSA engineers for accelerating the work.
Later, Sayed accompanied by MLA, Balwant Singh Mankotia inaugurated a lecture hall in the premises of Government Higher School, Garhi.
