SMC starts strike

Gets talk offer for Wednesday

Srinagar, Jan 18: The Srinagar Municipal Corporation employees on Monday started indefinite strike demanding implementation of “reorganization proposal”.
 The SMC employees union President Haji Bashir said the corporation has suspended all operations including garbage lifting.
 He said the employees body has received an invitation from the government for talks on Wednesday to end the deadlock.
 He, however, said the strike would continue till their demands are met.
