Rs.33.48 cr for 27 road projects released

Jammu, Jan 1: The government has released Rs 33.48 crore under Central Road Fund for execution of 27 road schemes in J&K.
 According to an official communiqué, the R&B Chief Engineers of both divisions have been asked to utilize funds as per the approved outlay with special thrust on physical achievements on the ground in a fixed time frame.
 It said the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah had expressed keenness to see up gradation and improvement of roads network in the state on fast track to connect backward, far-flung and cut off areas with main highways and give a considerable fillip to the economic development.
 The funds will ensure progress of work on road projects including widening and up gradation of Bugroo Khan Sahed Dood Pathri road, improvement of Khanyar Qamarwari Gojwara (Nallahmar road) including additional bridge over river Jehlum, construction of road from Kulgam to Chamgund, widening of Maulana Azad road from Budshah bridge to MA bridge, widening of road from Police Control Room to Batamaloo bridge, improvement and other roads in Jammu.
